SYNOPSYS
Vassilis, a twelve-year-old boy, lives with his father John, in a small countryside village. Believing that his son has reached the right age to start hunting, John buys him a gun and a Greek Hound puppy and begins his training. Vassilis wants to please his father but no matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to be able to fire a shot. He bonds with Max, his Greek hound puppy, who becomes his companion during this difficult time. After a few of his own failed attempts to catch a hare, John begins questioning whether he is the role model he wants his son to look up to, after all. On the last day of the hunting season, Vasillis gets a final chance to shoot a hare but fails. His father, after a heated fight with Vasilis, takes Max and makes his son walk home as punishment. Vasillis arrives home at night and finds Max missing. He takes his gun and heads for the yard where his father’s dogs are tied up.
